While some requirements, such as blower door testing, are generally well understood by Passive House designers, others are more opaque. While it is the job of the Verifier, not the Designer, to perform all required tests and inspections, Designers can benefit from an understanding of which specific parts of their design will ultimately be tested. These testing and verification requirements are both explicit in the PHIUS standards and implicit in several third-party programs that are required by PHIUS. By gaining a basic understanding of these requirements and additional certifications, Designers can position their projects for a higher degree of success within the Passive House system. The goal of the tool is to empower each project team to develop their own in-house trainings specific to their project and provide them with the resources to effectively deliver that training to tradespeople who may have never done a Passive House project previously. This course features both a recorded webinar and a link the the Training Tool itself.  Read more
